I love sport, especially the more controversial aspects of it. I also love philosophy, so I set up this blog to provide some light philosophical analysis to some of the more controversial aspects of world sport. Though you don’t need to be a philosopher to read, on the contrary this is aimed at sports fans first an foremost. Though hopefully it will also fill a void in the highly lucrative Philosophy of Sport Blog market.
I have a Masters in Philosophy at Victoria University of Wellington focusing on sports ethics, my thesis topic was Should Oscar Pistorius be allowed to compete at the Olympics? (you can read it if you want in the Essays section). Whilst I do not intend this blog to have any serious academic merit, hopefully it will be a constructive way to channel my procrastination.
